Company Fixes Voting Machine Problem

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. The rush is on to make sure South Florida electronic voting machines will do the job in November.

Earlier this year, a problem was found with the way machines in 11 counties, including Broward and Miami-Dade counties, provide a log of voting results.

The machine manufacturer found the problem was due to a low-voltage battery. It fixed the problem today, and in the next three days is showing the state.

The Division of Elections must now certify the new fix to validate it for the voting process.
