The computer database infrastructure of Sarasota County, Fla., was attacked by a notorious Internet worm on the first day of early voting during the 2006 election, which featured the now-contested U.S. House race between Democrat Christine Jennings and Republican Vern Buchanan in Florida's 13th Congressional district.

At least two local elections remained undecided Saturday because of problems caused by a new, $14 million statewide registration system that omitted many registered voters. The Texas Election Administration Management, or TEAM, system may have caused close elections in Hitchcock and the Santa Fe Independent School District to remain undecided Saturday.

Early risers looking to cast their ballots for Lake-Lehman school director found the wrong candidates on the ballot Tuesday. The candidates in Region 2 appeared on the Region 3 ballot and the candidates in Region 3 appeared on the Region 2 ballot, according to Leonard Piazza, director of the Luzerne County Bureau of Elections.
